Low Tide - Flow - art along the Ship Canal
Commissioned by the City of Seattle
Low Tide – Flow is a public art installation in Ballard, Seattle, located at 5425 Shilshole Ave NW along the Ship Canal. Installed in August 2025, the series builds on Rosenberg’s 2024 exhibition Low Tide, which explored the fragility of tide pool ecosystems and the impact of human activity. Now placed outdoors, the work forms a direct relationship with its subject: life in local intertidal zones. Inspired by photographs and time spent at low tide around Seattle and the Olympic Peninsula, these stylized interpretations blend observation and imagination. The pieces aim to spark curiosity and emotional connection, encouraging viewers to slow down and notice the often overlooked details of marine life.
