Joshua Tree Airbnb Murals
In 2023, Seattle artist Glynn Rosenberg, installed two vacation rental murals near Joshua Tree, California. The game room mural celebrates the local landscape, centering a coyote, framed by desert plants, mountains, and the iconic Joshua tree, under a starry, moonlit sky. The mural transforms the game room into an immersive desert landscape, bringing the character of Joshua Tree indoors while reflecting Glynn’s broader practice of creating nature-inspired murals that connect people with the places around them.
Designed for the Space
The property owner wanted the murals to complement the earthy tones and relaxed, boho style of the vacation rental. Glynn used a warm, natural palette throughout the landscape mural to connect the artwork with the surrounding decor and create a cohesive desert-themed interior.
Glynn also designed and painted a simple geometric mural for a bedroom in the house as an alternative to wallpaper. The mural features a warm taupe pattern against a deep navy blue background, adding a playful touch to the room while complementing the home’s relaxed bohemian style. The custom wall treatment demonstrates how a painted mural can bring pattern, color, and personality to an interior in a way that is completely unique to the space.
